Flexible coaching locations

Train where
it suits you.

Based in North London, I coach clients across Highgate, Dartmouth Park and the neighbouring areas. Rather than tying you to one venue, sessions are arranged around your week, your location and the facilities genuinely available to you:

  • Residential gyms in Highgate and surrounding developments, where the building permits an external personal trainer
  • Suitable outdoor training locations around Highgate and Hampstead Heath, subject to suitability and any relevant permissions
  • Other appropriate private training environments arranged around the client
  • Established private studio training available nearby through On Form LDN's wider North and Central London coaching network

There is no permanent On Form LDN gym in Highgate — and that's deliberate. Sessions are arranged around where you live or work and what's realistically available, so training fits your week rather than adding another journey to it.

Why train in Highgate?

Highgate is one of the easier corners of North London in which to train consistently. Hampstead Heath sits on the doorstep, Dartmouth Park and Archway add quieter routes for running and conditioning work, and Highgate Village keeps everything within walking distance. You rarely need to travel far to find somewhere sensible to train.

The practical challenge is usually time rather than access. Highgate weeks tend to be full — work, school runs, travel — and rarely look the same twice. So the coaching is built to bend around that: a plan that survives a late finish or a fortnight of back-to-back meetings, using your building's gym, the outdoors or a private space nearby, whichever fits that week.

Still have questions?

Questions before you book?

A few of the questions I'm asked most often by people looking for a personal trainer in Highgate and the surrounding area.

On Form LDN doesn't run a permanent gym in Highgate — coaching is arranged around you. Sessions usually take place in residential gym facilities within apartment buildings where the building permits an external trainer, in a suitable outdoor space locally, or in another appropriate private training environment we agree together. If you'd prefer a fully equipped private studio, there are established options nearby through my wider North and Central London coaching network.

Yes. Highgate Village sits within the area I cover, alongside Dartmouth Park, Archway and Kentish Town. Sessions are arranged in your building's gym where that's an option, outdoors where suitable, or at an appropriate private training space nearby — whichever fits your week best.

Often, yes. It depends on two things: whether your building allows external personal trainers to coach residents, and whether the space and equipment suit the training we want to do. It's always worth checking your building's policy first — I'm happy to talk it through before anything is committed to.

Yes, where it's suitable. Highgate has good access to open space, which works well for strength, conditioning and running sessions. Outdoor training is arranged subject to the suitability of the location, the weather and any permissions that apply to the space in question, and it pairs well with indoor work through the year.

Potentially, yes — the Heath is on Highgate's doorstep and suits running and conditioning work. Commercial personal training on public land is subject to the rules and any permissions that apply to that space, so I don't assume it's permitted everywhere. We'd agree a location that's both appropriate and suitable for what we're working on.

Of course — a good number of my clients start with little or no training background, or come back after years away from it. We begin with a movement assessment, build technique gradually and progress at a pace that feels manageable. Nothing is rushed and nothing is assumed.

Yes. Fat loss is one of the goals I'm asked about most. The approach combines strength training, sensible conditioning and realistic nutrition habits that survive a busy week — no extreme diets and no plans that collapse the moment life gets in the way.

Yes. Whether you run locally around Highgate and the Heath or you're building towards a 10k or half marathon, strength work makes a real difference to both performance and injury risk. Programmes are built around your running rather than competing with it.

We start with a relaxed conversation about your goals, training history and lifestyle, followed by a short movement assessment and an introductory session, finishing with some initial recommendations. There's no pressure and no obligation — it's simply the easiest way to see whether we're a good fit.

Yes. Online coaching combines personalised programming, weekly check-ins and ongoing accountability, and it works well on its own or alongside in-person sessions — useful if you travel, work irregular hours or want to keep training consistent between face-to-face weeks.
